VivaCell-MTS comments on MTS Connect messenger launching possibility in Armenia

VivaCell-MTS is currently evaluating the demand and competiveness of MTS Connect application in the local market and will be tracking development of the service in Russia.

VivaCell-MTS told this to Itel.am commenting on the information on launching MTS Connect in Armenia soon.

“VivaCell-MTS constantly monitors innovative technological developments in the telecommunications sector. RCS is one of the options available to mobile operators for running their own OTT (Over-the-top content) services”, the company informs.

MTS Connect, available for Moscow subscribers from December 14 on in AppStore and Google Play, is created for making calls and messaging.
 
The application is based on RCS standard (Rich Communication Services), which is created to act as a substitute to Skype and Viber.
