Armenian Defense Ministry staff re-trained at Microsoft

A delegation headed by Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia Ara Nazaryan visited Microsoft office in the U.S.. 

The visit was scheduled within the framework of the Agreement on Government’s Security Program signed by the Armenian government and Microsoft, the Armenian Defense Ministry press service reports.

The Armenian Defense Ministry delegation visited Microsoft’s Digital Crime Unit and Data Center and met with Vice President Vahe Torossian.

The sides discussed issues related to the cyber security program of Armenia and Microsoft’s possible assistance in re-training the Defense Ministry and other interested structures’ cyber security staff.

Director of YCRDI Arsen Taroyan who was within the delegation presented Microsoft representatives the details on establishment of Hi Tech cyber security center aimed at overcoming the challenges in the field and possible areas of cooperation with the company.

Under the above mentioned agreement, technical staff of the Armenian Defense Ministry and other interested structures have been taking re-trainings at the Microsoft educational center on September 28-30.
