British Film Festival starts with Beeline support

The solemn opening of the 13th British Film Festival took place at Moscow Cinema on February 14.

The Festival was organized by the British Council and British Embassy in Yerevan. Beeline is the general sponsor.

The festival was opened by “Imitation Game” nominated for Oscars 2015 “Best Picture”.

“Beeline has been sponsoring and contributing to the British Film Festival for already three years in a row and we are happy to witness positive changes among movie fans and in the cultural life year in and year out. I am sure the films will bestow only positive emotions and high spirits on you and all movie fans, changing your life for the better”, said Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin.

“We are delighted to see the British Film Festival has become a beloved and anticipated event in Armenia’s cultural life. This year as well we will present the best British films and contribute to strengthening the cultural ties between the two countries”, said Director of British Council Armenia Arevik Saribekyan.

UK Ambassador to Armenia Kathy Leach was also present at the opening.

This year the British Film Festival is dedicated to spreading and keeping love. In Yerevan, it will be held till February 20 – seven movies will be screened. After the “Imitation Game”, “Belle”, “The Invisible Woman”, “The Possibilities are Endless”, “X+Y”, “Virunga” and “Love is All” will be shown.

The movies will be screened at Moscow Cinema and at Cinema Star in both Armenian and English.

A special screening dedicated to World War I Centenary will be held at Cafesjian Center for the Arts on February 21. “A Night at the Cinema in 1914” movie will be shown.
