Once a year zoos around the world open their gates for chronically ill and disabled children and their families, welcoming them as VIP guests. Dreamnight at the Zoo is a global initiative that unites zoos of the Netherlands, German, Japan, USA, Canada, dozens of other countries and now Armenia.
Upon the initiative of the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets, Yerevan Zoo joined the network in June, 2014, inviting more than 60 children and their families to the Dreamnight event. VivaCell-MTS staff could simply not stand indifferent: owing to more than one million AMD donated by the Company employees it became possible to fulfill the dreams of 6 children.
To make the evening unforgettable for the children with special health care needs special appearances, music performance, interactive games and colorful treats were organized at the zoo. The special guests went on a VIP tour through the zoo, enjoying animal shows and displays, interacting with, touching and feeding the animals.
During the month prior to the event the invited children and their families shared their dreams and needs with the organizers. On June 28 all the children received “Dream Fulfillment Certificates” ensuring that their dreams will be fulfilled within a few months’ time by the organizers or one of the many supporters of the event.
