VimpelCom to substantially reduce the number of employees of \"CIS\" business entity

Yerevan/Mediamax/. VimpelCom will substantially reduce the number of employees of \"CIS\" business entity within business restructuring, \"Vedomosti\" newspaper writes this today quoting the Manager of \"CIS\" business entity.

It\'s noted that the subdivision will undergo \"large-scale lay-offs\" - over 50% of the staff (it comprises 170-180 people now). The part of the employees of \"CIS\" business entity may be transferred to other subdivisions of the holding, a source close to VimpelCom supposes.

Representative of \"CIS\" business entity Artem Minaev didn\'t mention any exact figures but he confirmed to \"Vedomosti\" that the expenses of the subdivision will be optimized including though personnel lay-off - a part of the employees will work in the company till December 2012, others - till March 2013.
