ADC offers a new service - Fastclick

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Datacom Company (ADC) presented Fastclick service, which allows receiving internet through electricity sockets.

Mediamax reports that ADC Commercial Director Avetik Kalantaryan informed that the company lays a fiber-optic cable to the building, places its equipment on electricity distribution lines, and the user, sticking the special modem into the socket and connecting it to the computer, gains broadband access to internet.

Tariffs of the given service start from 8000 AMD per month. The connection fee starts from 18 000 AMD (8 000 AMD of which represents the fee for service for the first month of use).

According to the company’s Commercial Director, at present, Fastclick service is provided in pilot mode in three Yerevan sections: in the area of Amiryan and Zakyan crossroad, in the section of Aram Khachatryan Street, adjacent to Mergelyan Institute and the 4th section of Davidashen community. “190 flats have joined this service already”, Avetik Kalantaryan stated, noting that the speed of service spreading on the entire territory of the city depends on demand.

Commercial Director of ADC informed that in the nearest future the company will start a large-scale marketing campaign for providing services, noting that the ones, who want to receive internet by this technology, may get registered at www.fastclick.am website.
