    Stanford ChangeLabs discusses establishment of SDG laboratory in Armenia

    Stanford ChangeLabs discusses the idea of supporting the establishment of the first of its kind national SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) laboratory in Armenia.

    Founder and Director of Stanford ChangeLabs Banny Banerjee shared this with Itel.am within the frames of Impact Investment for Development Summit 2017.

    He informed that the agreements had been reached earlier with UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative for the Republic of Armenia Bradley Busetto.

    “Bradley Busetto has already discussed the issue with Center for Strategic Initiatives of the Government of Armenia (GCSI), and both sides are very excited about the perspective of establishing SDG innovation laboratory in Armenia. I also work very intensively on this project, especially on methodology developments. This is one of the many initiatives, that we are now discussing,” Founder of Stanford ChangeLabs said.

    Banny Banerjee also informed that Armenia and Stanford University in America discuss creation of Systems leadership exchanging platform.

    “I teach at Stanford University, which deeply studies systems-based innovations and systems leadership. Armenia and Stanford University are discussing creation of Systems leadership exchanging platform. I had only few communications with Armenians before, though I have spoken to a lot of people during my visit to Yerevan and look forward to new opportunities for cooperation,” Banny Banerjee said.

    Stanford ChangeLabs is a transdisciplinary group at Stanford University, aimed at equipping global leaders and innovators with powerful frameworks and approaches to tackle complex challenges.

    Stanford ChangeLabs involves students and professors both from Stanford and other universities. The initiative also attracts professionals with non-academic background.
