Smarter Transportation Data Hackathon accepts applications

Smarter Transportation Data Hackathon will be held on April 15-16. Organized for the first time in Armenia, this event is aimed at creation of innovative solutions with a functional prototype in transportation sector, using a variety of datasets, APIs, and hardware provided by industry-leading brands.

Registration deadline of the Smarter Transportation Data Hackathon at Innovative Solutions and Technologies Center (ISTC) is April 12. You can apply here.
 
Participants, preferably in a team of 2 to 4 with different skill sets, should develop in 24 hours solutions to real energy and transport challenges using a variety of datasets, APIs, and hardware provided by industry-leading brands.

The participants can use data sets that are publicly available or provided by Optym, Menu.am and ggTaxi.

The following categories and prizes will be issued at the hackathon:

USD 4000 – The most innovative solution with functional prototype
USD 2500 – The best business concept/idea
USD 1500– The most valuable solution for Armenia

The organizers of the hackathon are Optym Armenia (general sponsor), Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) and Innovative Solutions and Technologies Center (ISTC). The project is realized with the support of Armenian Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies.

On April 15 teams will have the opportunity to participate in “Smart talks” on transport-related issues, which will be conducted by the leading specialists of the sphere.
