Engineering laboratories in Armenia and NKR to be called Armat

There are 100 robotics dedicated groups and engineering laboratories in Armenia and Artsakh currently, where more than 2000 schoolchildren study.

This was announced today during an event organized by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises.

UITE Deputy Director Hayk Chobanyan said that the engineering laboratories, both exciting and future, will be called Armat from now on.

According to him, it is estimated that by 2019 Armat laboratories will exist in every school.

“Ucom has a great involvement in this project and we are firstly excited about the fact that our children have growing interest towards engineering. Armenia has been a leader with its engineering mind since the Soviet Era and it is important to preserve that tradition. The world today is in need of highly qualified engineers: so is our company. Therefore, we consider having our small contribution to the field of education. I myself, as a child was interested in this field, and it brought me to this area. Helping children to have interest, we open a platform that will enable them to create new values and enrich our country”, said Ucom CEO Hayk Yesayan.

UITE Executive Director Karen Vardanyan said, on his turn, that the most important result of lab program in 10 years will be the fact that Armenia will have no problem building its on military economy.
