In 2015, in the frames of the housing project, two families in Shatin village of Vayots Dzor region renovated the roof of their houses, and another family completed the construction of its half-built house.
VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian and “Fuller Center for Housing” President Ashot Yeghiazaryan visited Shatin community to celebrate the housewarming with the happy families.
For years the Gyulnazaryan family of 7 had been living in constant danger in a house located on the stone fall zone, without basic housing conditions. In 2008, they started the construction of a house in a secure area of the village, but were not able to complete it.
“The dream of many years has become true. Finally my family has a safe and decent home, where we can sleep without the fear that the roof will collapse when we are inside the house,” said Seryozha, the grandfather of the family.
“The happiness of these people, their eyes full of regained hope and trust, and their smiles inspire us and give us strength and eagerness to keep up with the work we have started. They prove we are on the right track, so we are ready to go all the way through to giving chance of a decent life to more families,” said VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
“In 2015, in the frames of the jointly implemented housing project 40 families restarted their lives. Each renovated or constructed house revives the hopes of the families, and helps them to get rid of the inferiority complex. The home becomes the place where new horizons are opened,” said “Fuller Center for Housing” Armenia President Ashot Yeghiazaryan.
Since 2007, VivaCell-MTS has contributed AMD 228.3 million for the basic reconstruction or renovation of houses thus improving the life quality of 480 people with social needs in 10 regions of the country, including 31 villages, of which 10 are borderland villages.
