Beeline sums up the second quarter

Beeline has summed up the financial and operational results of the second quarter of 2015.

EBITDA margin index has grown by 5.3 percentage points as compared to the same index of the first quarter having made 40.5%. EBITDA index in the second quarter has made USD11mln which exceeds the same index of the first quarter by USD2mln and surpasses the index of year’s fourth quarter by USD5mln.

“The company continues registering growth of income from the mobile services, mobile subscriber base and considerable reduction in the churn rate. Thus, as of the second quarter of 2015, the number of mobile subscribers of Beeline Armenia exceeds 815 000 which is by 20 000 more than the same index of the first quarter. Churn rate in the mobile sector as of the second quarter of 2015 registered a record-breaking index for the past years. It makes 8.5%’’, the press release reads.

“Summing up the results of the quarter, one can say that Beeline in Armenia doesn’t only meet the world market development trends but also offers quality, simple and convenient services which they can use and guarantee for their families and friends. The growth of the subscriber base and key financial indicators also shows that our customers are more ready to guarantee our services”, said Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin.

The number of Beeline mobile internet subscribers has grown by 12 000 over the year, and the average volume of the traffic through the mobile phone has doubled. Over the year, the share of smartphones in the subscriber base has increased by 10%.

Over the first quarter of 2015, Beeline’s capital investments made USD2mln. The total income from the landline services has reduced by 11% over the year, which is conditioned by the global trend of reduction of the demand for the service.
