Ucom-Orange Armenia deal may open opportunities for Beeline, Andrey Pyatakhin thinks

Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin commented on the information according to which Ucom is holding negotiations over the purchase of 100% of shares of Orange Armenia mobile operator.

“We definitely welcome development of competition. It is beneficial for subscribers, and the recent years’ practice has proved that we can compete and we do it successfully. Besides, in the current situation, we see opportunities for Beeline and we will be using them.

In any case, I’d like to believe that the recent developments will lead to only positive changes on the market and advent of new convergent tariff packages for subscribers. With the new leadership, we are also ready to discuss projects on joint use of network resources to reduce the self-cost of construction and servicing of infrastructure as well as enhancing the quality of the provided services for subscribers”, wrote Andrey Pyatakhin on his Facebook page.
