Orange Armenia has summarized today the work completed by its specialists from the beginning of this year on increasing the quality and the coverage available to its customers.
After having increased its coverage with H+ network (42.2Mb/s) , Orange has performed more than 100 network upgrades and installed 25 new sites since the beginning of the year,.
These efforts have allowed a significant increase of quality and coverage not only in towns but as well for inhabitants of villages.
In particular, inhabitants of Aghavnadzor village, of Vayots Dzor, Lusarat, Marmarashen, Dimitrov, Getazat and Nor Kharberd villages of Ararat region, Vanand and Talvorik villages of Armavir, Dzoragyugh, Yeranos, Vaghashen of Gegharkunik region, Shnogh village of Tavush region, Jrashen, Kurtan and Gangar villages of Lori region can now benefit from the full range of Orange services. Orange has as well increased its coverage in Khor-Virap monastery, Garni and Gehard, as well as ensured full coverage of Yerevan- Dilijan road, maintaining the same quality coverage along all the serpentines .
These efforts have now been rewarded: for the 4th time in a row, Orange has not only been recognized as the leading data quality provider amongst Armenian telecommunication mobile companies but has as well for the first time reached the leading position amongst the other European Orange networks, based on the results of the independent study performed by the German “P3 communications” company.
The study of “P3 Communications”, a German consulting firm, included measurements of parameters such as speed for file upload/download, opening of YouTube videos, etc. According to the analysis, Orange Armenia network has maintained its overall leading position on the local market and among the European Orange affiliates, in particular for the provision of the data speed on smartphones. The mentioned measurements took place from May 1 to 15 in Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, and Etchmiadzin covering city centers, business, commercial and suburban areas. The study is part of a continuing measurement campaign focused on the quality of selected 3G mobile data service operators in Europe.
“It is always important to see how the efforts we make improve our customer experience. Thanks to the significant amount of work completed since the beginning of the year, our network has been recognized as the best not only in Armenia but, for the first time, as well amongst Orange European affiliates. We have been able to maintain the quality of our services in already covered areas by improving the capacity of the network, as well as extend our coverage to new communities and roads, through installation of new sites. We will continue to work hard and will put our best efforts to ensure the same quality of services along the whole network ”,- said Francis Gelibter.
In addition to the completed works, till the end of the year Orange plans the installation of 14 more sites and the performance of over 30 network upgrades, which will, in particular, ensure extension of Orange coverage to Gosh village of Tavush region, as well as Geghadir, Voghjaberd and Hatsavan villages of Kotayk region. These technical works will as well enable to improve coverage in the popular touristic site of Goshavank monastery.
