Orange launches its 16th station, 12 more to be constructed till late 2013

Orange Armenia summed up the technical works for increasing transmission capacity of the network and expansion of the coverage for summer and early autumn.

Over July –September, 16 new mobile stations were constructed and connected to the network in Armenia, the company’s press release reports.


Owing to the new stations, Orange services became available to the residents of the villages of Vazashen, Aygehovit, Haghartsin and other villages of Tavush marz. The company’s services are also available in the villages of Geghanush and Gomaran of Syunik marz and Antaramut and Kachachkut of Lori marz where there was no coverage earlier.

“Focusing on the quality of services both in big and small towns and villages we also care for expansion of the network. We will continue expanding the network geography in new towns bringing up to 42Mbps download speed, and 21Mbps –on the whole coverage”, said Orange Armenia CEO Francis Gelibter.

Network expansion works for 2013 are underway: the company is going to build 12 new stations within autumn.
