Orange Book Prize 2012 winning books published

Bureaucrat bookstore hosted the presentation of four literary works that have been recognized as winners of “Orange Book Prize 2012” book contest and published.

They are as follows: the novel “Skinpain” by Hovhannes Tekgyozyan, the story “Hamo’s Favourite Flower” by Nare Sahakyan, the tale “Your Excellency Bad Old Witch” by Yerazik Grigoryan and the selection of poems “Magus Kings” by Shushanik Tamrazyan.

“With are happy and proud to present today the books that were created thanks to the contest, as well as thanks to the interest and involvement of the jury and readers. Orange Book Prize is a prize of readers and booklovers. During this period we did our best to boost through public readings the interest in reading. The contest also helped us to reveal new talents”, said Orange Armenia CEO Francis Gelibter.

The contest was open to those, who had presented literary works that had never been published in the past. 470 works participated in the contest. The winner of each genre was published in a separate book, with 500 copies, and the author was awarded a monetary prize in the amount of 500,000 AMD.

The objective of the “Orange Book Prize” contest is to boost interest in reading, to discover the contemporary Armenian writers, to spread their works among larger group of readers through the daily evolving electronic media, support beginners and already famous writers and publish their unprinted works.
