ArmenTel expands mobile network in 2 border villages

In early August, ArmenTel (Beeline) trademark expanded its mobile network on the eastern border of Syunik marz providing mobile and internet coverage to villagers of Khnatsakh and Vahatur.

As a result of the expansion of the network, the coverage increased by 22square km and the mobile and 3G internet services are now available to over 1.500 people, the company reported.

"As a result of the first quarter of 2013, the company became a leader by growth of broadband internet subscribers which was ensured by continuing investments, in the Armenian marzes as well. Under the updated corporate strategy of the company, we introduce a social component not only into the tariff policy but expansion of network and provision of quality coverage even in most remote corners of the country", noted ArmenTel CEO Andrey Pyatakhin.

ArmenTel also realizes local works on modernization of landline infrastructure which will allow villagers of the above mentioned settlements to get access to Hi-Line internet in near future, the company noted.
