Events envisaged in the scope of the “Safe Internet Armenia 2013” large-scale joint program of Orange Armenia, the Center for Media Education and the Internet Society are underway.
The stage of parental workshops started aiming to raise awareness of the parnets of pupils on safe internet, to give them knowledge and tools to exercise control over the online content consumed by their underage children, to protect them from all potential virtual dangers.
“As a leading mobile internet provider in Armenia we care for our customers by providing them with keys to safe internet use. Nowadays children are mastering internet skills more quickly and for parents it is sometimes difficult to control their children’s online behaviour. Orange customers may acquire necessary software solutions to safe internet use. As a responsible company we were happy to join this large-scale educational program, which will help many parents with specific and practical advice,” said Nazareth Seferian, CSR and Philanthropy Expert at Orange Armenia.
Giving importance to safe internet use, since last year Orange has been supporting not only training and educational courses, which aim to raise everyone’s awareness on current internet-related issues and provide practical information, but also in partnership with Kaspersky Labs has made available Kaspersky Internet Security softawre to its customers since already last year, which ensures protection of children from sites with irrelevant content. The above software solution can be acquired both from Orange shops and straight from the interface of Internet Now modem. Many Orange customers are already benefiting from this solution.
