VivaCell-MTS and Synopsis Armenia to continue partnership programs

VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian and Synopsis Armenia Director Hovik Musayelyan summed up the joint programs implemented in the telecommunication sector in 2012 noting that they will continue in 2013 as well.

"It's a simple example of cooperation. There are numerous companies in our economy and the initiative of such a cooperation may yield huge results for our economy. Business is not only for having profits, it should bear responsibility for the country's economy and toward the society", noted VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.

"Two companies which separately implement various programs decided to join their efforts and potential to implement joint programs aimed at revealing talented young people, encouraging them, establishing innovative educational programs and developing the technological infrastructure of the telecommunication sector. There are already 5 such programs and their success inspires hope to have other joint programs in the future", said Hovik Musayelyan.

International Microelectronics Olympiad, Armenian President's Award for World Contribution in the Telecommunication Sector, implementation of joint educational programs in the microelectronics communication systems specialization in the European Regional Academy, contest of best managers in IT sphere were noted among the programs implemented in 2012.

There is an agreement on continuing the programs in 2013 and about AMD70mln was allocated to this end. According to Ralph Yirikian, there will also be new cooperation programs but it's still early to speak about them.

VivaCell-MTS invested AMD75mln to implement a number of promising programs in the telecommunication sphere as of 2012.
