540 projects to compete in ArmNet Awards 2012

Yerevan/Mediamax/. On 19th of November “ArmNet Awards 2012” websites registration ended. This year 540 participants have registered to take part in the annual ArmNet competition including websites, mobile applications, blogs and social network pages.

In parallel with the jury selection, starting from November 22, visitors will vote for their favorite websites via SMS, competition organizer Orange Armenia informs.

In order to vote for their favorite website users will need to send SMS from their cell phones to 1041 short number (the price for 1 SMS is 50 dram including VAT) indicating the unique website number in the subject field of the SMS (participants will be presented at www.armnetawards.am website).Visitors from abroad can also vote for their favorite websites. The full list of available countries, the specific short number for each country and the price for short SMS can be found in ArmNet Awards 2012 official page. Each subscriber is allowed to vote only once for each website, but the subscriber can vote for as many websites as he/she wants. The website that receives the most number of votes will be announced as a winner in the “People’s Choice” category. The SMS voting will start on November 22, 2012 at 00:00:00 Yerevan Time and will finish on December 8, 2012 at 18:00:00 Yerevan Time.
 
Jury members of \"ArmNet Awards 2012\" will look through and estimate all websites announced for the contest and choose the winners by categories: 
•    Grand Prix
•    Design and Usability
•    Innovation
•    Technological Development
•    Content
•    Social impact
•    Breakthrough of the Year
•    People’s Choice
•    Special Prize from Orange for the best mobile application.

On November 30th, the list of nominees in each category choоsen by the Jury will be announced (except “People’s Choice” nomination). The results of the competition will be recapulated on December 8th, at the award ceremony.

The organizers of ArmNet 2012 project are Maeutica branding agency, Orange Armenia and “The Internet Society of Armenia” NGO.
