Digitization of landline network in Eghvard starts

Yerevan/Mediamax/. ArmenTel ( Beeline trademark) starts works on digitization of landline network in the town of Eghvard (Kotayk marz).

The process of replacing the equipment, re-equipment and switching of subscriber lines to digital format is scheduled to be completed till the end of 2013, the company reported.

After the completion of the digitization works, over 2100 families in Eghvard will get access to high-end services of ArmenTel\'s digital landline network and internet.

\"Investing substantial funds in the wired infrastructure, \"ArmenTel\" enhances the service quality of its subscribers and takes another step forward to the full digitization of the company\'s landline network in the country. We are pleased to inform that services of high-end landline network and internet will be available to over thousands of our subscribers in the town of Eghvard till the end of 2012\", said \"ArmenTel\" CEO Igor Klimko.


After the completion of digitization works in the town of Eghvard, 84% subscribers of landline network of \"ArmenTel\" across Armenia will be connected to the digital stations. The overall length of the company\'s subscriber network cables exceeds 14 000km and the length of the fiber-optic network makes over 3 500km.
