ArmenTel to finish the works on telephone switch digitization in Masis till the end of 2011

Yerevan/Mediamax/. ArmenTel (Beeline trademark) launched the works on digitization of analog telephones switch in Masis.

The works are due to be over till the end of 2011 which will allow providing all the residents of the town with high-quality services of digital fixed communication and broadband Internet.

“Network modernization and introduction of high-technology equipment is the key priority of our company’s development strategy. Digitization of fixed communication phone lines is rather a laborious, cost-based yet at the same time a process necessary for the whole country. We keep on working intensively on improving our infrastructure and owing to the investments made by the universal operator the level of digitization of Armenia’s fixed network allows our country to rank among the technologically advanced countries of the Western Europe”, noted ArmenTel CEO Igor Klimko.

As of late October 2011, 82% ArmenTel fixed communication subscribers are connected to phone communication digital stations over the whole territory of Armenia and the overall length of the cables of the company’s subscriber network exceeds 13 000km.
