Orange Armenia and Yerevan City Administration launched Wi-Fi internet in public transport

Yerevan, June 16. /Mediamax/. Orange Armenia Company and Yerevan City Administration launched a pilot program today on providing free of charge wireless Wi-Fi internet connection in five buses, which run the routes of N 3, 15, 16, 22 and 28.

Mediamax reports that, due to provision of the new service, Orange Armenia CEO Bruno Duthoit said that “journey in public transport will become more interesting”. He reminded that the motto of the company is “to make internet available for all”.

Five devices can simultaneously connect to Myfi 3G/Wi-Fi modem, installed in the buses, including pads and smartphones. Further on, Orange Armenia intends to expand the provided services and install modems in all buses and in heavy bus stops and parks.

Head of Transport Department of Yerevan City Administration Henrik Navasardyan said that 150-200 new buses will be supplied to Yerevan from China in order to ease the load of traffic in the capital city.-
