UITE announced registration for “Sapper Robot” competition

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Within the framework of the open championship of robots – Armrobotics, Union of IT Enterprises of Armenia (UITE) announced registration of participants for “Sapper-Robot” competition at digitec.am website, which will last till April 15.

Mediamax was informed in the press service of UITE that the task of the robots in this contest will be finding mines in an area, covered with sand. At that, the upper part of the mines should be 1-3 cm lower than the surface. The robot will have to examine the area, discern the location of the mines, create an electronic map of the area and send it to the server.

Before the final round, preliminary competition on mechanics, constructions, electronics and robot programs will be held, after which the teams will present their robots to the jury in their final form and will be able to participate in the finale.

General sponsor of Armrobotics is VivaCell-MTS Company. “Hoornet” company is the technical partner. The championship is held given support of the Armenian Ministry of Defense.
