Orange Armenia and Beeline do not plan cardinal roaming tariff review

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Orange Armenia is going to review roaming tariffs for specific directions, company Director General Bruno Duthoit told Mediamax.

“Roaming tariffs will change just like the tariffs for local calls. We should certainly understand that the pricing and tariff making logic of these services differs. As for upcoming changes, I can say that we are going to enlarge the list of countries of Orange Zone, which will help offer exclusive prices for European countries where Orange is present. There will be other concrete revisions as well,” Bruno Duthoit stated.

In reply to Mediamax’s question about the prospects of reviewing roaming prices, Head of Public Relations Service of “ArmenTel” CJSC (Beeline trademark) Anush Begloyan said:

“Roaming tariffs cannot be changed on the whole; roaming prices are set by separate inter-operator agreements. That’s why the prices may change only for specific directions. Using its status as an international communications operator “VimpelCom” group of companies offers roaming in Beeline networks in countries of its presence at more available prices than the other operators.”

When asked by Mediamax about the number of Beeline clients using roaming services at least once a year, Anush Begloyan said:

“The percentage of subscribers using roaming approximately coincides with the percentage of Armenian citizens leaving on a business trip abroad or on vacation every year.”
