Yerevan/Mediamax/. 5 Armenian scientific projects won grants for commercialization of products following the results of the venture conference on Scientific-Technical Entrepreneurship Program (STEP), which took place on December 2 in Yerevan.
Mediamax informs that grants of USD 15 each were received by teams of scientists from the Institute of Biochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Armenia, Institute of Physics Research, “Industrial Technologies” LLC and Institute of Physiology of Armenian NAS.
The grant holders presented programs on realizing and commercializing scientific developments in the sphere of nanotechnologies, energy, agriculture and medicine.
The program on stimulating commercialization of scientific products in Armenia is realized by American non-governemtnal organization “Civilian Research and Development Foundation” (CRDF) in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.
STEP Conference is held in Yerevan for the fourth time. At yesterday’s conference, 13 innovative projects were presented, which had passed the pre-selection stage. The number of projects, participating in the latter, made 25.
