Internet clubs in Armenia will be exempted from obligatory licensing

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Public Services Regulatory Committee (PSRC) of Armenia made amendments and changes into the order of licensing data transfer and internet connection services.

As the Head of PSRC Telecommunication Department Gevorg Gevorgyan stated today, legal entities, providing data transfer and internet connection services in public places (internet clubs) will be exempted from obligatory licensing.

Gevorg Gevorgyan noted that the main consumers of those services are students and schoolchildren, who cannot secure high profitability of the business. PSRC representative stated that by exempting internet clubs from obligatory licensing, the Committee will contribute to reduction of tariffs for their services.
