“HSBC Bank Armenia” launched telephone banking service

Yerevan /Mediamax/. “HSBC Bank Armenia” launched telephone banking service.

Mediamax reports that, presenting the system of telephone banking in Yerevan today, Chief Executive Officer of “HSBC Bank Armenia” Tim Slater informed that the given service allows customers of the bank realizing any cashless bank transactions by calling 515 000.

“With the help of the given service, the customers of the bank may make enquiries about their account balance, pay bills, transfer money locally and internationally”, Tim Slater stated, noting that the service of telephone banking is free of charge and operates at 08:00-23:00 on working days and 11:00-20:00 on non-working days.

Tim Slater stressed that security of all transactions is ensured thanks to the rigorous identification and security procedures, developed for telephone banking. 

Chief Executive Officer of the bank informed that in order to use the telephone banking services, the customer should sign the corresponding agreement with the bank, adding that the given service is already used by 6700 customers of the bank. The total number of “HSBC Bank Armenia”, according to Tim Slater, makes about 45 thousands.

Head of the bank also informed that in July, 2009, “HSBC Bank Armenia” will also implement the service of internet banking.
