“ArmenTel” will invest $200mln in digitalization and will reduce prices for GPRS traffic

Yerevan /Mediamax/.  Digitalization of Armenian regions will remain a priority task for “ArmenTel”, Sales Director of the Company Gennady Kalgashkin stated in Yerevan today.

Mediamax reports that he noted that this year the company will continue directing the majority of its investments to digitalization of landline connection telephone lines. According to him, the total volume of investments into digitalization will make $200mln.

Answering the question of Mediamax, Spokeswoman of “ArmenTel” Anush Begloyan expressed disagreement with the fact that increased attention towards issues of digitalization is related to soon entry of new operators to the market. According to her, “our company always strives to provide the subscribers with the best quality of connection”.

Gennady Kalgashkin also stated that “ArmenTel” pays special attention to securing internet access and reminded that Hi Line ADSL service is already available in 18 towns of Armenia.

Sales Director of “ArmenTel” informed that in the nearest future the company intends to reduce the prices for GPRS and WAP traffic. He also noted that at present works are in process on conjugating 3G networks of Beeline and VivaCell-MTS.
