International award after Viktor Hambardzumyan at the volume of $500 thousand established

Yerevan /Mediamax/. International scientific award after the national hero of Armenia, academician Viktor Hambardzumyan is established by the decree of the Armenian President Serzh Sargsian.

As Mediamax was told in the press service of the Armenian President, the award will be adjudged once in two years for outstanding scientific work in the sphere of astrophysics and allied physics and mathematics. Citizens of Armenia and other countries may participate in the competition.

For the first time the award will be presented in 2010.

It is expected that the volume of the award will make $500 thousand in AMD equivalent.
