Armenia and Israel discuss cooperation in high tech

 

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a meeting with CEO of Israel Innovation Authority Aharon Aharon on the margins of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

Pashinyan highlighted the importance of cooperation in high tech industry between Armenia and Israel and assured that the sector is among priorities for the Armenian Government.

The Prime Minister said that Yerevan is hosting the World IT Congress in summer and invited the Israeli side to attend.

According to Aharon Aharon, Armenian-Israeli partnership in high tech can have huge prospects and added that the Israeli government is also interested in developing and strengthening relations with Armenia.

The CEO of Israel Innovation Authority is confident that Israeli companies will be present at the congress and suggested signing a bilateral agreement and creating a representative office of Israel’s IT industry in Armenia.
