Sevan Startup Summit reveals winners

Sevan Startup Summit 2018 has revealed the winners.

The participating startups were involved in either starter or booster program, depending on the level of their development.

Starter gathered teams which already started developing their project and were working on establishing it. Magic Cup came out the winner in this program and was awarded USD 5000. The team works on a cup that heats up or cools down its contents with safe chemical reactions.

The second and third places are occupied by Spectre Aerospace (awarded USD 3000 of prize money) and Noomi (USD 2000) respectively.

Booster was designed for startups that already operated in the market or were preparing to make an entry. The winner of this program is SuperAnnotate (USD 5000), a startup that develops an AI technology, which can reduce the time spent on photo editing by 5-20 times.

In booster, the second place was taken by Currencii (USD 3000) and the third – by Sense2Beat (USD 2000).


Nine social enterprises were awarded as well.

- IoT and Smart City Battle - Arag Araqum
- FinTech Battle - Himnark

Around 1000 business people from 35 countries attended the summit. The prize fund of the summit made USD 50 000. Soon the organizers will reveal the startups that will receive the USD 100 000 from the investment fund for accelerator program.

Sevan Startup Summit 2018 was co-organized by Startup Armenia Foundation and Granatus Ventures in collaboration with the EU program Support to SME Development in Armenia (EU-SMEDA).
