FAST creates Angels Network to support Armenian startups

The Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST) announced creation of an Angels Network.

The official announcement took place on October 19, at the gala dinner dedicated to the “Machine Learning for Discovery Sciences” workshop, which was organized by FAST and the US National Science Foundation (US NSF).

Angels Network members Ruben Harutyunyan and Igor Khalatian informed that the initiative unites 15 Armenian entrepreneurs, who will provide financial and consulting assistance to Armenian startups.

FAST NextGen Council was also presented during the gala dinner. The council is comprised of 15 young Armenian scientists and engineers working in Armenia and abroad.

The gala was rich with events, as FAST signed three memorandums of understanding with:

- Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia (cooperation in educational programs and joint research);

- University of South California (cooperation in joint research, exchange of scientific works and joint events);

- Hamburg University of Technology (cooperation data science, robotics, biotechnologies and education).
