“Agro School” project kicks off with Beeline support

“Agro School” project carried out with the support of Beeline and Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) kicked off in Yerevan today.

The project aims to solve educational, migration and social issues through digital technologies. It’s the first activity carried out within the framework of Beeline’s “Make your Mark” global strategy.

Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin said today that a number of projects are planned to be implemented within “Make your Mark” initiative.

“It is important that we create new opportunities for the development of the growing generation which will already today acquire vocational skills and become masters of their work and carve out their tomorrow. By sowing love and interest in the youth we will contribute to the development of their abilities, and will promote small business marketing and income generation,” said Andrey Pyatakhin.

Owing to Beeline support, “Agro School” project highly anticipated by Getashen inhabitants turned to reality. It will grant children an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest innovations and skills of agricultural activities, will teach to properly assess the market, have competitive products and to properly position them employing the best marketing practices,” said COAF Executive Director Anoush Yedigaryan.

It will be a four-phase project – elaboration of an educational program and construction of a greenhouse, theoretical and practical trainings, exchange of practice with high school students of other communities, and online marketing and sales of the received products. Around 235 high school students from Getashen (Armavir region) and adjacent communities will take part in the project.

“Make your Mark” strategy is the key element of VimpelCom’s corporate social responsibility.

“Owing to “Make your Mark,” we can bring together the technologies, our practice and education to help the young overcome difficulties and build their future in the right way,” said Head of Corporate Communications Department for CIS Business Unit, VimpelCom Group, Galina Kurganova.
