Renderforest: Create free presentations within 10 minutes

Renderforest is an Armenian online video creation platform. Here you can create slideshows, explainer videos, promotional videos, business animation videos etc. within only 10 minutes.

The platform was developed by Wildek Entertainment Armenian company. In December 2014, Beta version of the website was launched. The platform is founded by Narek Safaryan. The technical solutions of the platform were provided by Dinamica Testing Center.

“The idea of the platform was born in 2013. At that time, we were only engaged in producing animation videos. We mainly worked with startups and the practice showed that many of them didn’t have enough funds to order corporate animation videos. They had to buy them from the websites selling templates and pay money to a specialist who would turn them into corporate videos. If the budget of the startups was not sufficient to hire a specialist they could try to edit the templates on their own which is a pricey, complicated and time-consuming process. The market lacked “the golden mean” which would overlap the two segments. That’s why we decided to create Renderforest”, Narek Safaryan says to Itel.am.

According to him, corporate animation videos have become popular over the past few years as a video is the best method of attracting customers in nowadays’ business environment.

The founder of the website says that as of March, the platform helped over 100 startups create corporate videos. As the demand grew, the company created a section for non-commercial users. In this section, there are slideshow templates where users upload their photos and get thematic videos- vacation, wedding, birthday, children’s etc.



Renderforest has developed a marketing strategy - using the website and sharing the videos is free. The service is only paid when a user wants to download the video in HD resolution. You can choose among a variety of templates. The editing process lasts 10 minutes on average. As of now, you can create up to 3-minute videos on the website.

“The majority of the templates are developed by us. The website has “Gallery” section where the best HD videos created by our users are available. It will help other users understand which template is closer to them based on already created videos. The website also allows selecting a relevant music track or uploading your own track or voiceover. A user should just edit the text on the template, add the photos and voiceover”, he notes.

Narek Safaryan notes that the investments were fully made by the founders. One of the top goals is to double the number of visitors of the site.

Touching upon competitors, Narek Safaryan stresses that the latter mostly offer a platform for creating videos based on PowerPoint: a user takes the template and creates the video in 2D dimension. Renderforest tries to include 2D and 3D dimensions allowing to create engaging and interesting videos faster.

60% of Renderforest users are from the U.S., followed by Western European countries. The website now has around 3500 registered users and 10 000 readymade videos.
