Orange Foundation has summarized the work completed in the frame of its first “One Village” project, launched in Hartavan in March, 2014.
Orange Foundation has allocated in 2014over 55MAMD for this initiative. The large scope of the work envisaged by the project has been implemented by Shen charitable NGO.
The “One Village” project addresses the development of sustainable economic activities and jobs, the improvement of infrastructures or of education and healthcare facilities of the selected communities.
"Already for 5 years together with our partners, we have been developing local production facilities, equipped numerous sport complexes, kindergartens and computer rooms. Now with the “One Village” initiative, we are at the same time addressing issues in the economic, healthcare, and educational domains of the rural communities",- said Francis Gelibter, Chairman of the Board of the Orange Foundation.
The project has as well addressed the irrigation efficiency of the community, by renovating the local water distribution system and constructing a new pipeline. The village kindergarten has been reconstructed and furnished. Football and volleyball playgrounds have been reconstructed and put at the disposal of the young inhabitants of the village. A medical point has been equipped, and professional trainings for the nurses organized.
The Ambassador of France in Armenia and the Head of Aragatsotn region have been amongst the guests present at the official opening of the project.
