With the support of the Orange Foundation, a new computer center was established in Pemzashen

In the scope of the strategic program of supporting the sustainable development of remote and vulnerable communities of Armenia, Orange Foundation has established a new computer center in Pemzashen village, Shirak region.

With the joint efforts of the Orange Foundation and Shen charitable NGO, the newly opened center is equipped with 7 computers, a printer, Orange MyBox 3G router, which allows up to 21.6Mbps download speed, and comfortable furniture.

Special computer courses will be provided to further promote the use of this equipment and make Internet services more available for the inhabitants of Pemzashen village.

“Orange Foundation attributes a lot of importance to the development of rural communities. We believe this computer center will allow the inhabitants of Pemzashen village to benefit from advantages presented by the rapidly developing modern technologies and will contribute to educational, as well as social aspects of their lives”,- said Francis Gelibter, Chairman of the Board of the Orange Foundation.

This project which focuses on the rural communities aims at supporting social and economic development of communities, allowing them fully benefit from the advantages offered by high technologies. Already more than 20 villages throughout Armenia are benefitting from similar computer centers.
