ArmenTel is moving towards launching IPTV, Andrey Pyatakhin says

ArmenTel is moving towards launching IPTVservice.

ArmenTel CEO Andrey Pyatakhin told Mediamax today adding that he can't mention certain dates yet.

“It's rather a hard task related to certain restrictions - both external and internal”, he said.

At the same time, the CEO noted that IPTV is a priority area for both him personally and for the company.

“We have a large subscriber database, subscribers love and trust us, they are sure we will provide a good service”, said Andrey Pyatakhin.

Mediamax notes that addressing his first news conference in Yerevan back in June 2013, Andrey Pyatakhin called introduction of TV services his main personal objective. Answering the question why the company hasn’t installed IPTV service yet, Andrey Pyatakhin confessed that he asked the same question to his employees on his first working day as CEO of the company.

Back in January 2011, Pyatakhin’s predecessor in the post of ArmenTel CEO Igor Klimko said that the company actively tests IPTV service. He noted that “the service will be commercially launched only when IPT V quality meets high quality standards”.
