Mobile apps development discussed with ArmenTel’s support

Over January 18-19, ArmenTel along with “Technological Development Center” Fund held a workshop dedicated to the mobile content in Armenia, with the participation of the Armenian programmers of mobile apps.

At the Mobile Developer Day workshop, the creation and development of mobile content was discussed with the participating mobile content programmers and representatives of the business circles.

Microsoft Armenia DPE David Kocharyan introduced the opportunities Windows Phone grants to the development of mobile apps.

ArmenTel CEO Andrey Pyatakhin spoke about the role of mobile apps in the sphere of telecommunications, about what should be expected and what should be done in the near future.

“Armenia has great potential from the viewpoint of IT sphere. Such workshops are important as the best ideas are born during similar discussions and exchange of ideas”, Andrey Pyatakhin said.

He said he is sure that with their support the representatives of IT sphere will manage to create offers, which will be used not only in Armenia but also abroad and in the Diaspora, and can become internationally recognized.

ArmenTel CIO Maksim Khalmatov introduced the cooperation opportunities with Beeline in the sphere of mobile content development.

Director of “Technological Development Center” Fund Samvel Chakhalyan spoke about the possible areas of development of mobile content in Armenia.

The topic of mobile content localization was as well discussed at the workshop. As a result of discussions, the participants have developed a work plan aimed at the stimulation of meeting the increasing demand for mobile content in Armenia.

Representatives of ArmenTel, Microsoft, mLab, Zoom Graphics, Helix Consulting, Fluger, Dinamica, Siply Technologies and OMG Studio took part in the workshop.
