Orange customers can stay in touch in Facebook through SMS

Orange presented 2 news to GPRS users.First is about Facebook SMS service, thanks to which Orange customers can stay in touch in Facebook via their mobile phone, even if internet is not accessible.

The service can be activated either on Facebook profile, in the Parameters section, or by sending an SMS to 32665 short number with “fb” in the text. In both cases the customer should have mentioned his/her phone number in the Facebook profile.

Messages received through Facebook SMS service are free of charge, while SMSs sent to 32665 short number will be charged as regular on-net SMSs, according to customer’s tariff plan.

“Everyone, but especially students, travel frequently during this period of the year, and sometimes they appear in places where internet is not available. For those who consider being on Facebook a daily need, this offer will become one of the most favorite services”, noted Aram Mkrtchyan, Orange Armenia Marketing Director.

The second news concerns customers of “My Country” regional tariff plan of ‘Let’s Talk’ prepaid service. These customers will surf on the internet for 20 AMD/MB tariff, instead of previous 60 AMD/MB.
