Armenian government shifted to Apple

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Photos from today’s session of the Armenian government are evidence that the Cabinet of Ministers has started using Apple computers.

Assistant to the Armenian Prime Minister Aram Ananyan told Mediamax today that the previous computers had been in use at the session hall since 2003, and became outdated over the past 8 years.

Head of the Armenian Government’s Staff David Sargsian told Mediamax today that the tender for purchase of computers was announced in April, 2011. He noted that the tender announcement did not contain indication to supply exactly Apple products to the government. “We only indicated technical parameters and sizes of the computers”, David Sargsian said.

He noted that only one company participated in the tender, and it offered Apple notebooks.

Head of the Armenian Government’s Staff said that it is possible to follow the tender at www.gnumner.am website.
