Robot-building groups to open in 5 Armenian colleges

Yerevan/Mediamax/. The Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) jointly with “VivaCell-MTS” Company will open robot-building groups in 5 educational institutions of Armenia.

UITE Director Karen Vardanian said today that the groups will function in “Quantum”, “Ohanian”, “Mkhitar Sebastatsi”, “Anania Shirakatsi” educational institutions and in colleges of Yerevan State Engineering University, Mediamax reports.

“Robot following the line” and “Robot differentiating and classifying subjects” competitions will be held within the framework of ArmRobotics open championship on March 4-5.

Applications to participate in “Robot searching for mines” competition are accepted from today, and the exact date to apply for “Pilotless vehicles” competition will be announced at the end of the year.

“VivaCell-MTS” General Manager Ralph Yirikian attached great importance to such competitions. According to him they facilitate the development of robot industry in Armenia.
