From December 31 to January 1, “VivaCell-MTS” network handled over 37mln calls and 8.3mln SMS

Yerevan/Mediamax/. “VivaCell-MTS” announced today that the network handled 4.739.081 SMS messages on December 31, the New Years Eve before midnight, with a further 3.654.031 on January 1, 2011.

Mediamax was informed in the press service of the company that 18.181.127 calls were handled through VivaCell-MTS network on December 31, 2010 before midnight, and another 19.123>344 on January 1, 2011.

In total 8.393.112 short messages and 37.304.471 calls were handled by VivaCell-MTS network on December 31, 2010 and January 1, 2011.

Compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of calls increased by 15%.
