Protocol on an administrative register in IT sphere signed in Yerevan

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Protocol on cooperation in the sphere of developing the process of carrying out sectoral statistics (administrative register) in the sphere of IT was signed in the Ministry of Economy of Armenia today.

Mediamax reports that Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan, Chairman of National Statistical Service Stepan Mnatsakanyan, Director of “Enterprise Incubator Foundation” Bagrat Yengibaryan, Director of the Union of IT Enterprises (UITE) Karen Vardanyan, Chairman of the Association of Electronic Content Garegin Chukaszyan and Chairman of Armenian Union of 3D Modeler Gurgen Paronyan participated in the ceremony of protocol signing.

Armenian Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan stated that within the framework of the given protocol, along with development of e-register, the National Statistical Service will stop dealing with collection of information in IT sphere and the register will become a single database on information technologies in the country. According to him, this will allow timely reacting to problems in the given sphere and correctly elaborating development policy. 

Nerses Yeritsyan noted that the corresponding electronic program was created a year ago and tested in this period. As of today, already 40 IT companies have presented the corresponding information to the register.
