GNC Alfa became the official agent of “Rostelecom” Company in Armenia

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian GNC Alfa main internet operator and “Rostelecom” OJSC signed an agreement on October 7 on starting service provision under “Rostelecom” brand on the territory of Armenia.

General Director of GNC Alfa Hayk Faramazyan informed Mediamax that the agreement provides for rendering Armenian customers “Rostelecom” services, such as IP transit, internet connection for corporate customers and provision of connection channels for rent. “If previously for instance in order to rent connection channels in Georgia and Russia, the Armenian companies had to turn to the central headquarters of “Rostelecom”, now they only need to turn to us”, Hayk Faramazyan stated.

According to him, further on they plan expansion of the line of “Rostelecom” services, provided in Armenia. He noted that the agreement does not provide for purchase of the assets of the Armenian company by “Rostelecom”. “As a result of the deal, we have become the official agent of “Rostelecom” in Armenia”, Hayk Faramazyan stated.

“Rostelecom” OJSC is the national telecommunication company of Russia. It renders telecommunication services on the basis of its own main connection network, which has the total length of about 160 thousand kilometers. At present, the company cooperates with 400 international operators and companies.
