Armenia to participate in establishment of International Innovative Center of Nanotechnologies

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian representatives of will participate in the forum, which will found the International Innovative Center of Nanotechnologies of CIS counties.

Mediamax reports hat the forum will take place in Dubna on December 17.

The International Innovative Center of Nanotechnologies of CIS counties will be formed on the basis of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research with the use of advantages of the special economic zone, which functions in Dubna.

Armenian Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan and the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia Radik Martirosyan will participate in the work of the forum.

“The Center aims at creating new tools of scientific-research cooperation, joint entry to world competitive markets, achievement of superiority in innovative development in CIS countries, as well as organization of joint actions in the sphere of innovations”, Director of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Academician Aleksey Sisakyan told “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” newspaper. He noted that besides purely scientific work, the center will deal with commercialization of scientific results in the sphere of nuclear physics and nanotechnologies.

On December 17, besides signing the founding documents and choosing the managing bodies, they will also set up the managing company, which will deal with commercialization of projects.
