With the support of Beeline Armenia and Startup Armenia Foundation, the Startup Club initiative was successfully launched in Gavar.
Startup Club is an educational initiative that strives to help teenagers from regions improve their entrepreneurial skills and contribute to the development of their social responsibility. Clubs are located in several Armenian communities, namely in Aparan, Ashtarak, Yeghvard, border communities of Koti, Aygehovit and, hereafter, in Gavar.
37 teenagers, aged 13-17, who are eager to improve their business skills and start-up knowledge, are attending Startup Club Gavar. The curriculum is comprised of three phases which focus on personal development, design thinking, and business models, respectively. Young people are also introduced to the features of the start-up ecosystem, fundamentals of financial literacy, business communication, and creativity; they then form teams and, with the guidance of the coaches, develop their own startup ideas.
Project CEO Arsen Harutyunyan has noted: “Gavar was one of the first locations where we had decided to establish Startup Club, which would promote the active participation of young people from regions in the start-up ecosystem and will increase the level of their social engagement. We also plan to organize the involvement of teenagers from Gavar-adjacent regions, for the youth from these communities are relatively more interested in our project.”
Beeline Armenia CEO Andrey Pyatakhin has added: “We are implementing a special strategy of supporting start-ups and have carried out numerous projects in this sphere. We consider this initiative as one of the most important elements of this strategy, which allows us to prepare the potential of our youth to start businesses and succeed in the future. I am overjoyed that the youth in Gavar will be able to receive modern business knowledge.”
Beeline Armenia acts as a strategic partner of this project.
